In my opinion ASK AWAY! I just started doing longer distance training
but have not entered a ride yet. I have been asking questions for almost
2 years and reading everything I can. Learning before you do it is
preferable to a lot of trial and error. You may even save yourself an
injury or other setbacks. I have learned one thing and that is there is
almost as many ways to do things as there are people, but it is fun to
learn the "why" of things and then you can make a better decision for
yourself incorporating all the options.

As an instructor for 16 out of the last 25 years and a schoolteacher as well,
I would be appalled at the idea that a person in a position of learning was
told not to ask questions. That is deplorable, and Lauren, you go right ahead
and ask. I can tell you that I will never forget some of the most succinct
information from some very sepcial people, like Linda Chapman - thatns fpr
the recommendation on rehabbing our stallion! Dr. Hewitt for you constant
perusal of his progress. You get my point? And those Cool kerchiefs are
WONDERUL! And to the nice lady 5 years ago who gave me a 10 day sampple of
Dynamite - we have used it since and sell it now! So... you go girl - you
keep right on asking questions. Why learn the hard way - why not be as
well-versed as possible, then put it into practise?
