did I say that we endanger anyone else's life while on the trail ....I've
taken him on numerous conditioning rides on public trails as well as 50
milers and have yet caused anyone to go home a motherless child......He's
well schooled and knows his aids. He just happens to spook...some :-)
the horse that you described is *dangerous* and should not be out in public
- that is_entirely different_ than an animal that tends to spook at rabbits
in the bushes which is what we are talking about in essence - compared to
what you described. You can only accurately compare apples to apples - not
apples to oranges.

I understand Tina, excatly so. Your post brought up that particular issue,
and because this does happen that individuals who apparently get soem kind of
a ride out of riding a flipped out horse, (not just spooking once in a
while), you post was an opportunity to remind those folks that they bear an
additional responsibility to other people, whether or not they feel that
their horse is worth it in the long run, or a hazard to themselves. Sorry if
you took it to be pointed at you - it wasn't. Not at all. With summer here,
everyone and his FATHER is out on the trail - some are too out of control to
be there. That is all.
