That's a good point. Without meaning to, I was "training" my
horse to run wildly and out of control with lots of crow-hopping, by
pulling back for a rest whenever he did that. Truthfully, I was trying to
catch MY breath, but I was inadvertently rewarding him for bad behavior.
After forcing myself several days in a row to make him keep going until
he "fell" under control, the problem began to resolve itself.
