OOPS, I should've said "OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD"....I'm really sorry. I said

<<market, but growing slowly. I can think of only Rushcreek & Trad horses,
and then
there are a few small breeders that don't look at performance details when >>"

That was horrible! I just meant to show the two extremes. Of course this
doesn't include a bunch of farms whose managers are putting on miles,
educating us, and volunteering for the sport. I know there's a correlation
between working so hard and the lack of time to evaluate more horses!
Teddy's chestnut seems like a really nice guy, and her horses are real
athletes! Reis's are equally tough, and soo beautiful at the same time! It
was a humbling experience last year seeing that pretty little mare of Alex's
blast him off down the trail in front of us, and I thought we were going fast
before! Gulp.

Also one must consider how many years it takes to see the fruit, because of the
minimum horse age in competition and long preparation! Could discourage most
breeders to breed specifically that direction. I have a person on our show
committee trying to convince me that halter classes are performance classes!
She
can "prove" her horse's get in a year, and sell for big bucks, but I'm trying to
convince her to DO something with the horses, and THEN she can talk about
performance!

I'm on digest, so I missed any rebuttals. Can I take my foot out of my mouth
now?
Bridget in SE PA, and Galant Firefly, growing our own one now.
