You can accustom your own horses to these fences, but you can't train the
other horses in camp nor the wildlife roaming about. These fence crashers
can cause not only havoc, but fatal accidents. An already agitated, loose
horse can really freak if he hits that hot wire. I've heard of horses
losing their lives and people coming close to death in these accidents.

There have been many horror stories in the past of horses on the loose
running through electric fences other than theirs. Personally, I prefer
the safer mode of either tying to the trailer, using a safe pipe corral, or
those highly visible safety fence things that roll out. (The Mitts' make
them).

Watch out when using electric fence in camp.
