Tevis...questions...

Hi all! Since a large portion of the ridecamp membership will be at the
Tevis this year...I thought I'd ask a question or two about rider survival
on the trail!

What do some of you use or plan to use to stay hydrated well on the trail?
Obviously, drink plenty of water. What else? Gatorade? Juice? What kinds?
Have any of you used "Cytomax" or other similar energy and recovery drinks?
Which ones work the best, which ones should I avoid, and where is the best
place to get some of this stuff?

What are some of the types of foods that you plan on eating? These are some
of the things that I like to eat: Gu, small sized power-bars, beef jerky,
oranges, pickles, bagels & cream cheese, bananas, Kern's Nectar juices.
Give me some more ideas on what is good to pack or bring along? I usually
don't like to eat anything that is 1) meat or 2) heavy on the stomach.

Come on you guys, there are a lot of us out there that want to know these
things - don't leave out anything!! Please!!???

If any of you are going up to pre-ride the finish, I'd be happy to forward
over directions on where to park and where to ride to/from - thanks to Larry
Sudjjian and Natalie & Richard's B&B. They both gave us excellent
information which was invaluable last week when we did our pre-ride. Thank you!

Happy Trails,

Karen
