Management provides human water and horse water. At the OD there is a lot
of grass at the checks - except for maybe Camp Roosevelt - and there is a
lot of grass on most of the trail. At other rides with this award,
management usually provides an area for cavalry riders and has hay
available if there is no grass available.

If you want grain, you carry it. If you electrolyte - you carry it. If
you want Gatoraid for yourself you carry it. If you want food, you carry
it. And I believe that if you need farrier work, you do it.

It is a true test to ride Cavalry and to win a ride such as the OD it is a
true accomplishment.
