Riding Calvery

Many people ride without crews.

The Calvery (or however it is spelled:-) award goes to a
person completing a 100 mile ride. They must have no help
anywhere along the way. They must take everything with them.
Water and sometimes hay will be provided at vet checks. Other
than that, it's up to them to plan ahead.

Also, after the ride, this person still must care for their horse
alone, and be ready to present it themselves at the BC check in
the morning.

It's very impressive to see some of those riders and their very
well taken care of horses.
