Hi to everybody,

I have been given a saddle to try and was wondering if anyone out there may
have some comments on it. It was made in England but purchased in America.
The lady who bought it for me says a lot of the riders in the Tevis Cup ride
in them (but this may not be true).

Looks to be made by the 'Gold Label Saddlery' and the model is called
'Crusader'. Looks fairly comfortable (padded seat and all), plenty of dees
for attaching things but one thing puzzled me and that is why the girth points
are so short and actually under the flaps of the saddle - personal preference
is long girth points and less bulk under my legs but any comments will be
appreciated. If anyone has ridden or knows of anyone who has ridden in this
saddle please feel free to input. My preference in a saddle is for the horse
to be comfortable and I must admit I enjoy a little comfort myself.

I generally ride in an Australian military saddle - swivel pads, long girth
points, took a long time to get comfortable in it but now I wouldn't pass it
up. One of my mares cannot tolerate this saddle and I use the Wintec Pro 2000
endurance saddle on her manufactured here in Australia by Bates Saddlery. I
also do a lot of work at home in a good old fashioned Stock Saddle - very
heavy though and not that practical for endurance riding in.

Looking forward to some input
