Donna: I just posted a letter about an endurance horse that won the Qatar
100 after having put on the shoes. Aluminum shoes won't cause suspensory
problems, just how they are put on (the trim). The problem with aluminum
though is that it won't hold up as well over rocky and hard terrain. I
think it is an excellent shoe and have put a number of horses of varied
performance backgrounds on them with success....but they were all put on by
farriers that understood the concepts behind the natural balanced (four
point) trim. It's not the shoe...it's the trim.
