A few years back I acquired an Arab mare that was 13-3 hands and weighed
about 750 lb. I am 6-1 and at the time weighed 200 lb. She had no
trouble carrying me, was one of the fastest troters I have ever ridden.
She was definately competative on rides. Except for the ribbing that
you take from friends, THE SIZE OF THE HORSE DOESN'T MATTER.
