Seems that this would be the prefect place to "look the gift horse in the
mouth". Caveat Emoptor!!! I used to buy "rescued horses" but they broke my
heart when they could not grow or perform well later on. Had one die from
internal worm damage (of course, no one would have been able to SEE that!!!).

They may make nice pleasure horses, but beware if you are looking to make any
into "endurance" horses...the stresses MAY trigger and internal problem
caused by poor upbringing.
