At 10 bucks a entry for camping (pretty commom down here if you have to use
private facilities) and at 7 bucks a rider for food Friday night and Sat
morning that is a heafty 17 bucks. The fee for a 25 is on the order of 35
to 40 bucks so about half goes for the services used but not paid for if a
full refund is given. This doesn't even consider the number of vets is
based on the number of entries. So if there are fewer riders starting than
are planned for, the per rider cost of the vets goes up and puts additional
strain on the funding for the ride. This money comes out of the ride and
potentially the ride manager's pocket. It doesn't take many riders pulling
out before that amounts to "real money".

The next year one of two things will happen, either the fee for everyone
goes up or the ride is not run.
