I have been half seriously looking for a first trailer. I really don't
know
what to avoid and what to look for when I get serious (ie. have
money
<grin>).

Yesterday I went by and looked at a stock four horse
trailer. It had some
rust, one rear brake light cover was broken, one front
window was
broken, it had all different kinds of rims and tires. The floor
looked OK
from what I could tell. It did have carpet over it and had about
six hay
bales still loaded in the front of it.

They are asking $1500. It
is a bumper pull. They said they weren't sure
of the year when I called
about it.

Anyway, what should I be checking? How do I know if it is a
good trailer
or not? If there is a FAQ on trailer buying please let me know
where it is
and I will not bother the group with these questions as they are
probably
boring to many who already own trailers.

Thanks lots!!
