Hi all...

You might remember I wrote about a urination problem...thanks for all
your replies.....

Most people suggested 'beans' and I've had a good look and I can't
see anything...someone suggested that the urethra might be blocked.

However, we have not had a problem since.....so I don't know.....he
is weeing when he wants now although he can still be
picky about where. Twice now he has held it in for some time and then
thought 'what the hell' and wee'd on tarmac/concrete since my
original mail....

Dinah asked some further questions to help find out what it might be:

He hadn't had any when he first tried (on trail), he had one measure
after the ride as far as I can remember (Natural Animal Feeds
Electrosalts (UK) with soluble salts and dextrose). Two measures are
recommended for heavy exertion, one for less heavy, but more than
ordinary work. This was given in sugarbeet water, and then he had
another measure for tea in his feed after he had urinated at home (on
third time of trying). This is all quite hazy from memory now so
anyone with my original mail will know exactly as I wrote that just
after it happened.

Everything like that was within the bounds of what we have done at
home really.....only thing is he was blowing a bit (not excessively)
when he tried on the trail and he seemed to be thinking 'I want to
wee' with one half of his brain and 'I want to carry on' with the
other....

I too would be interested in stories about when people's horses wee
and how often, etc, etc and things.........?

Cheers!

Liz and Basil (the nag)
