Cheryl, there is a super line of horse feeds made by LMF. They make
different feeds for people who feed grass/oat or those who feed alfalfa.
We have used these feeds for several years to keep my husband's "front
of the pack" horses in top form. They never get skinny and ratty
looking although he rides a zillion miles. Never a problem with colic,
tie up or any other bad stuff. Highly recommend all LMF products. Plus
that, the factory rep will come around to your feed store or horse group
and give an excellent talk on horse nutritrition without jamming his
products down your throat. They make endurance/race formula, high fat
formula, all in one, maintenance, etc. Ask your feed store to check it
out. I know I sound like I work for them, I don't... but really believe
in their products.
