AERC INTERNATIONAL NEWS
MAY 1997
Lori Stewart

International Endurance Competition and our United States effort are thriving
thanks in large part to the
work of dedicated people who belong to a number of affiliated organizations and
serve on their committee
for endurance. Without the cooperation and collaboration of ALL the committees
involved, there would not
be World Endurance Championships and an opportunity for all of us in the AERC
to prove that WE ARE
THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!.

As promised last month, what follows is a listing of the affiliated
organizations committees for the sport of
endurance riding, their current members and function.

ZONE NEWS

The FEI in a meeting last Fall, removed the requirement that a ride organizing
committee pay the food and
lodging expenses of the participating riders, grooms, chef d equipe and team
veterinarian. These expenses
are the responsibility of the Zone Teams. Please donate to your zone team.
Maybe one of your zone team
members will go on to represent the United States at the 1998 World
Championships in Ireland. Make a
cash donation, buy the teams promotional products, and support their
fund-raisers. Every little bit will
help. Thank you!
