Sharon,

I remember that ride, also one in the Trinity Alps. But my recollection is
that the Siskiyou ride was staged at a fairgrounds, the Trinity ride at the
dude ranch. Both were gorgeous rides. That was a LONG time ago, and I'm
probably confusing the two rides. Do you remember the Whiskeytown ride? Why
have all these rides disappeared? Maybe we can get Karen to revive them!!
Great country and not that inaccessible for Bay Area folks like myself.

Linda, sorry to be so long. I checked my lst sterling silver brandy
sniffer and it said Siskiyou, 1975......you need to remember I was a very
young junior then <g> Those two kids in the photos just appeared. Anyway,
I know that award came from the dude ranch. I do remember Whiskeytown. I
thought that was a tough ride - rocky and steep. Didn't know what rocks
were till I moved to Nevada!! I lived in Red Bluff then. Did you go on the
Diamond Rides or the Blue Mountain Rides put on by the Tones? The sport has
come a long way, some good - some not so good. The thing I'm impressed with
and proud of is the tremendous strides made in equine health from knowledge
learned in this sport. We've come a long way baby BUT let's not talk about
how LONG ago it was <vbg>. Are you still riding. E-mail me privately with
info...may be rode together or know some of the same ole' timers. Sharon,
Gardnerville, Nevada PS. Hope you all bear with me - I'm just learning how
to respond etc. Don't hesitate to give me directions!!
