Dear Monika, the French have been breeding Arabs for short distance speed for
a long time--and it sure shows!!! As you noticed, most French Arabian
racehorses don't look very "arab!" I never saw a French bred racing arab I
liked--they might be fast, for 6 furlongs, but they are not, in my mind,
"arabs" anymore--they've been selectively bred into something else.
