Regarding hay cubes: I don't feed them really regularly, but got some when
it looked like the hay was going to run out. I've tried using them as
"travel food" but invariably if I only take cubes my guy will turn his nosr
up at them. I put them in a feed pan with a little grain and add water to
make a "soup." He really likes them this way, and, from what I've heard,
they're less likely to choke on them (not that choke is generally a
problem)...it's also a good way to get fluid into them, and if you've got a
horse that bolts its food this will slow them down a lot...
