<< Say, those of you who have had major trailer problems that ALSO caused
harm
to your horses, your rig... have you contacted the manufacturers.... AND are
they amenable to compensating you for damages?

What are the warranties or guarantees with new trailersd (not owning one
yet)?

I had a Valley Trailer...custom made...the dealer assured me it was suitable
for my needs and also swore he could build a living quarter as good as anyoen
else...the trailer leaked, appliances put in substandard and not to any
safety code...water and gas lines leaked. Cost me $950 atty fees and two
years negotiation. The finance company did not care, the dealer did not care
and the manufacturer did not care. I brought it back 6 or more times for
repairs..all inadequate..still had same problems. They finanally settled out
of court and I sold the trailer to someone who was willing to fix it up. I
ended up about even..Got enough from claim settlement and sale to pay off
finance company and pay off lawyer..that's all, but it was enough for me.

I then got a new Featherlite...all kinds of stupid little problems..nothing
major...they cooperated on fixing everything. The dealer was too far way, so
I had locals fix problems. I sent bills to Featherlite and they promptly
paid all.

I guess it pays to go with bigger companies who have a reputation at stake...
