Question: why didn't you just trailer him home without any headstall? I
never
tie Kahlil when he's in the trailer -- a method that may have saved his life
when we had the wreck with the trailer rolling over (he flipped completely
over
inside the trailer, but emerged with only superficial injuries) >>

Would have loved to Joe--save me a 31/2 hour walk, but alas, David's training
has not yet progressed to the point where I could have gotten him IN the
trrailer without putting his halter on! The laceration occurred in a blow up
while David was trying to get out of the trailer after having gone half-way
in--my friends trailer is a tiny, 2-horse one, David is much more accustomed
to big, wide, slant-loads---niether love, money, nor common sense was going
to convince David to go anywhere near that creepy little two horse
afterwards--
