Oh boy, I don't want to write long on this one (it's not too long): The
____ (I won't say the word) are trying to make us all think that the
government is a detriment to society. In truth, the government is made of
and for anyone who wants bills passed, and more and more of these are
geared toward getting the "monkey" off the big business' backs that are
making money by selling unsafe stuff.
They want you to believe that less regulation is good for you--
toxic synthetic chemicals you don't have to know are in your food and
other sht and rigs that break down or blow up (look up Ralph Nadar's first
consumer rights protection stuff with the car that would explode with a
head on collision at 30mph)-- but this is one of the few tools that
Americans have to keep this world a little more sane. If we want companies
to play fair, there have to be rules. We can't all be policing because we
all have lives too. And think of how many people waste their money on bad
trailers.
This shouldn't be a guessing game. Not everyone can be out
researching for weeks every time they want to make a purchase. There
should be simple regulations that keep manufactured products reasonably
safe. That's one of the things government is good at. Let's not go
looking out for companies that make sucky products, let's look to helping
make life easier for the hard working folks.
