Titanium Shoes

Someone mentioned titanium shoes again. My Farrier *finally* got
some titanium alloy shoes. They look nice. Very light. With
clips. I was contemplating trying them out. Supposed to last
a couple shoeings... to offset the extra $$$.

Good thing someone else tried them out first. He put them on a
regular horse. You know, few miles on the trail twice a week
and a couple days in the arena. Nothing like an endurance horse
trying to get some LSD in.

Turns out these shoes that were supposed to last extra shoeings
for an endurance-horse-in-training, wore out on a regular horse
in 3 1/2 weeks.

Well, that shoots that idea.
