I use plastic stirrups with plastic "cages" obtained thru Sportack and built
by Hi Tech Tack, 110 Medley Lane, Oroville, CA 95966 (916)589-4624. The
plastic side serve as shock absorbers and the footbed is nice and wide.
Maybe some others would be better, but I like these a lot.
