If this gets posted twice, my apologies. My records don't show that it has
ever made it to Ridecamp even though the same records show that it was sent
2 days ago.

Hi Louie,

Don't know if my horse has the same problem that you are describing but
here's the descript.:
1/2 golfball size lump on outside of hind foot just above the hoof. I
purchased the horse 3 years ago after my vet ok'd him with a prepurchase
exam. The possible cause was an injury at a young age that was never tended
to properly. The lump is not connected to anything critical especially the
joint. The vet said (with regard to the lump), "Exercise skillful neglect."

My horse is now 11 years old and is the one that I intend to prepare for
either CTR or endurance (or both--not at same time.) He has not had a single
unsound day (knock on wood!) since I have owned him. My farrier said that
the horse has the physical well being and the right kind of feet and legs to
do the job.

Perhaps this is encouragement for you. I hope that your friend's filly is as
fortunate as my horse has been. Good luck.
Pat
