Derby Ditch 50 weather forecast

Daytime temps in the mid 60's with winds 15-20 mph, nighttime temps in
the high 20's. Be prepared for the wind to be on the cold side, ie:
bring rump rugs and blankets for the checks. This is the desert, nights
are typically cold. Bring allergy medication if you're allergic!
Don't forget those Easyboots either. This point-to-point ride is over
hard packed roads with sharp rocks in many places. Most people pad for
this one. Base camp is a rodeo grounds near roads and a highway, so use
your best horse confinement setup.
We've just come out of one of the worst alkali dust storms I've ever
seen (eighth of a mile visibility today). It's supposed to calm down
tonight and be reasonable for the weekend, but this is a hard place to
forecast. Be prepared!! I have to work, but maybe I can meet some of
you at the potluck at least.
Have fun!!, Nikki
