While not practicing farriery at this time I have spent quite a bit of time
on it in the past.

Laney's problem sounds as though the farrier she has is trying to tell her
the horse is somewhat clubfooted. Have a friend in the business that is
making a study on the inheritability of the problem. Results will be ready
this year. See a lot of it, in mild to moderate form in quite a few horses
these days.

I feel the farrier does not want to use the "c" word and so tells a pretty
story.
