Hydration and underwear!

Completed my 3rd 80 km ride on Saturday and had a strange day. Jafaar
had hydration points of 1 , 1 and 2( 0 is top score). We had to box 4
hours to get to the ride - the longest he has been in a box so far. He
drank very little on first leg and got the 1 score - bit worried so gave
him electrolytes . 2 nd leg drank well and although got a 1 the pinch
test was better . His pulses were also very high for him 44 , and 40 on
second leg. 3 rd leg didn't drink well and scored 2 - now very worried
as pulse was 40 again ( his averages are always 34 to 36)Eating well and
alert and pulling like steam train on last leg(he always seems to know
this is the end). He recovered well and boxed fine home the next day.
Everybody said I was worried for nothing (I am a bit neurotic as far as
he is concerned!!) After much thought I concluded it was the traveling
and that he actually started slightly dehydrated . Do you think this is
feasible?

Now to the underwear!!. Help !!. I cannot seem to find underwear for
ladies or males that does not creep or just plain hurt after a full day
in the saddle. What do you experienced riders use. Our National Finals
are coming up and I don't see my way clear to sitting on the same chafe
marks for 3 days!!.

Yours in ignorance,
Cindy
