The most likely explination is that when you canter the electrodes are not
making good contact-thus you are not getting an accurate reading. When you
slow and sit on him the electrodes are again in contact and your reading is
accurate. Your working rate is probabaly about 20-30 bpm higher than what you
see when you slow. Could be that your cinch is just loose enough that the
canter lets a little air under it.
