Well, I went to this ride with no horse!! It was hard too, since these are
some of my favorite trails. I love the way they are laid out and how the
ride runs. sigh. I went to help, and boy am I glad. Some of the help
that had promised to be there did not show up, and with me and only one
other person trying to do P&R's, it got hectic. I'm sorry to all who had a
wait in line, but we were doing the best we could. I remember one time
going from one to another checking pulses and going in circles about three
times before all three of those horses were down and cleared for the vet
in! It was busy, but fun. No one argued, no one bitched, no one pitched a
fit and tried to kill me, so the weekend was nice!!

I have to say a big THANK-YOU to Robby Doll and Diane Potts who let me use
their trailer and HOT shower to keep myself clean!! It was windy and
cold, and the hot showers were a welcome blessing!! Thanks guys!! they
drove all the way to MS from Ky, and rode these trails. That's quite a
haul to do 55 miles, but they did smile the whole weekend, so I hope that
was a good sign. You can't beat the hospitality of the MS rides, that's
for sure.

It was a sleepless night for me on Fri night. I was in a tent for the
first time in a long, long time, and I kept hearing horses running around
squealing. I thought we would be flattened before the weekend was out,
but no horses even tried!! Thank goodness.

It was fun, it was work, I missed riding!! I will see you guys in Fl for
the Goethe Challenge!!!!
