I bought my Arab gelding at an auction and the horses being sold were
trotted across the ring. When I saw Phoenix being trotted out I knew he had
the smoothest, nicest trot of any I had seen and promptly bid on him without
knowing any of his history other than he was a 4-year old. That first
impression proved me right and even at 24 years old he's a smooth as ever -
free or under saddle he just "floats" and I've never had a lame step on him.
