I am new to endurance but have owned and shown Arabs for many years. I am
surprised that so many people on this board describe them as spooky , unsafe,
and hard to handle. I haven't had any of these problems - a well trained
horse should be safe no matter what the breed. Hard to handle - isn't that
just training too? Maybe
a trip to a local 4H show or even to a class " A " Arab show to watch the
young riders show and handle their Arabs would give a different perspective
on the breed.

I show my Arabs Dressage - and offen hear comments like " If you're serious
about
Dressage you need a Warmblood" Well I'm happy with my Arabs and don't want a
Warmblood. If you want to do Endurance on a Draft horse or a Shetland pony,
go for it - isn't that why there are so many different breeds? Just my
thoughts -
