Speaking of equine dental treatments...

I was just wondering how often most of you have your endurance horses teeth
floated? I'm sure there are a lot of variables - hay fed horses v. pasture
fed, etc.

One of my horses is 7 and has only had his teeth floated once in his life,
the other is 5 and never has. The vet was out last Friday and said that
neither needed it done. I had an older horse who had to have his teeth
done every year, or sometimes more often than that. Both my horses have
good weight, and show no signs of teeth problems, but I'm still curious to
know if at their ages they are normal for the amount of dental work they've
had done.

Happy Trails!
