One of the reasons that professional basketball players are last much
longer these days is the advent of "high tech" basketball shoes, e.g. the
"Air Jordans" etc. If this technology can keep Michael Jordan the best in
the game at his senior age, I think maybe technology could also be helping
our horses.

These things make a big difference to me! Having just finished a
grueling 5 hour hilly ride, I can state that I am riding farther
(and faster) at age 41 than I was 20 years ago. Having a bum
knee (horse accident on pavement), I don't know if I could do this
kind of riding without the combination of my flexride stirrups,
Sport Saddle, and Skito pad. The entire package absorbs shock, is
balanced and comfortable. Must be a lot me comfortable for my
horse than the English saddle I used to use. Maybe I am a wimp,
but any technology that allows me and my horses to ride 3 or 4 days
in a row at Pt. Reyes is worth just about any amount of money!
