Let me try.

First is to get to the check and get organized. Have separate drinking and
sponging buckets full. Have the sponge already wet. If you feed have the
mash made and/or grain ready. Have the electrolytes mixed and ready. Have
the hay ready. Have everything arranged so you can come in get the horse
cool as quickly as possilbe and also try to be a as close to the P&R gate
as possible and still be out of the way. If it is needed instruct the crew
to come to you as soon as they see you with a cooler or blanket.

After the horse has cleared the vet check have the crew hold the horse
while it eats so you can take care of your needs.

Having the same thing back at camp when you finish is also very helpful.
