5-day rides

Question for those of you who put on multi-day rides and those
who have attended. What is the protocol for payment and reimbursment
at the rides?

For example, you think you are going to be able to do all five days.
So, you go ahead and pay for a five day ride. Then on day two, your
horse comes up lame. What happens with the money you paid for day
3-5? Does the ride manager keep it? Or do you get some or all of it
back?

If you choose not to do a day, due to rider aches or other non-vet
conditions, what happens?
