Tina

At this time of year, especially in Queensland the rides are run at
night because of the heat. In a month or so time you will see the rides
starting early Sunday morning with the pre-ride on Saturday. Only the
longer rides 160klm + (100 miles +) are run at night in Winter.

The night riding is much cooler for both riders and horses and makes
strapping for heart rate recovery easier. It's great on moonlit nights,
not so much fun when there is no moon and your torch runs out!!!
