Only once did I see people try to change horses during a ride, but they
were beginners and didn't know that they couldn't do it. Their explanation
was reasonable, wanting to give the younger horse a break from the large
rider on it. Once I explained that it couldn't be done they were real good
about sticking to their own horse. Jane
