My wife crewed one Tevis Cup and that was haer last adventure into
crewing for me. Over time I've developed enough friends who'll happily
carry my gear to vet checks for me. I crew for myself, generally
speaking. Sometimes water jugs and stuff get left behind, but almost
always the ride management drags it back should it be so.

I want to applaude John Parke for his 20 mule team 100 mile finish as
well. According to rumor he plotted out just the time he needed to finish
from 80 miles out and did so. TO FINISH IS TO WIN. And planning like that
is an attest to his caring manner.
