Shoeing

I use the Workman (Malaysian) shoe and it's very durable. I can do over 300
miles on a set and they will still be on tight as the nail heads are set in
so don't come in contact with the ground. Now I don't worry about losing a
shoe on a ride, but still carry an Easyboot.

I like the idea of the Slypner's but since they can't be shaped, unless they
fit your horse right, they can be a problem. When we used them, they were
just a tad long and my horse would catch it and pull the steel plate off.
One time he just twisted the plate and we couldn't get it the rest of the
way off so had to bring him in on a twisted shoe. That cost me two days of
a ride so we don't use them anymore.

Equithonics sound good. Patricia
