Stiff Neck

Hi All!
There are too many of you who responded to my stiff neck message to
thank individually, so to all--- Thank you! Those of you who took it
seriouly command my most respect, as it did turn out quite serious. We
took the horse to Univ. of Florida Vet. Hospital at the suggestion of Dr.
Dane Frazier for an ultrasound. Unfortunately it was a huge melanoma,
which after the biopsy, proved to be extremely malignant. Within 2 days,
the horse was down, and we had him mercifully "put to sleep". I'm
devastated, partly because I had no time to get used to the idea that I was
going to lose my best buddy, yet grateful he didn't suffer longer. I don't
ever want to hear someone say, "Oh those grey Arabs all get melanomas-- no
big deal!" Obviously, it is a big deal.
Yes, I know this isn't strictly endurance, but lots of us have grey
Arabs, and it was the fastest and least painful way for me to respond to
all those who took time to offer suggestions. You're a great group!
