NITTANY 50/50 2-DAY 100

July 5&6, 1997

This is the 3rd running of this Central Pennsylvania endurance ride.
We have some new and exciting details for this beautiful ride. It is
now being held near Cassville, Pa, in Huntingdon County at the site
of the Trough Creek and Frosty Rides. The format includes 3 seperate
rides, so bring 2 different horses and get 100 miles for your weekend
OR bring one and finish qualifying for the 2-day 120 mile Race of
Champions to be held in Pennsylvania this fall!! This ride qualifies
for the Central Pennsylvania Challange. Sanctioned by AERC and
ECTRA.

LOCATION:
Cassville Pa at the Trough Creek Valley Sportsman's Club. Camping is
primitive with porta-johns. There is people and horse water
available. Showers are available next door at the home of Charles
and Mary Coleman - The charge is $2 per shower to offset the hot
water bill.
- From Rt. 22 East or West to 829 South 9.5 miles to Calvin. Left to
Through Creek Valley Sportsman Club, approx. 1 mile.
- From PA Turnpike - 522 North to 994 West to 655 North to 829 North
through Cassville. Proceed 1/2 mile to right turn. Follow signs
approx. 2 miles to Though Creek Valley Sportsman Club.

ACCOMODATIONS:
Primitive camping in grassy field. Stalls for rent $15 per
night-limited number available. STALLS MUST BE RESERVED AND PAID FOR
IN ADVANCE! Paddocks will be limited to 12'x12'. Camp opens
Wednesday, July 2, and will remain open through Tuesday, July 8.
Small grocery with gas/diesel 2.5 miles from camp. They also have a
sit-down restaurant. All dogs MUST be on a leash.

AWARDS: TOP TEN IN ALL RIDES, BEST CONDITION, JUNIOR AND WEIGHT DIVISIONS.

COURSE:
All loops will return to a central vet check about 1 mile from camp.
This is an easy course with plenty of water and good footing. Course
consists of some dirt roads, grassy snowmobile trails, single track
trail. 1.5 miles of hardtop on course. Shoes are required.

MEALS:
Entry fees include 1 evening meal for each day, 2-day 100 riders will
receive 2 meal tickets. Also included will be coffee and
donuts/bagels in the AM, and lite snack fare at the vetchecks. Meal
tickets for the entire weekend may be purchased for crew June $12
each.

FEES:
2-day 100 - $135 for entries post-marked after June 16, 1997
$120 for pre-paid entries
Pre-entered Juniors ride for $40/day
50 milers - $85 for entries post marked after June 16, 1997
$70 for pre-paid entries
Riders riding both 1 day 50 mile rides pay a combined fee of $140 for
both days if post entered and $125 for pre-paid entries. A refund of
$55 will be issued if horse is unable to go out second day.
Extra meal tickets for crew people $12 for the weekend.
BE PREPARED TO SHOW YOUR AERC CARD OR YOU MUST PAY THE $10 FEE-NO
EXCEPTIONS.

RULES:
Rider is responsible for knowledge of AERC/ECTRA Rules.

REFUNDS:
Full refunds for all pre-paid entries and those not passing the
vet-in, less $5 fee. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED TO THOSE THAT DO NOT
SHOW OR DO NOT NOTIFY US BY JULY 4TH!!! Management has the right to
refuse any/all entries.

FARRIER:
Please come well prepared with Easyboots, etc. Although we presently
have a farrier committing to us; we can not guarantee they will show.
Also be prepared to compensate the farrier/vet if you need their
services durring the ride.
