I, too, have it ingrained in me not to let go of the reins..comes from years
of riding a stallion and haveing the fear of a loose stallion harassing
someone else's horse.  It is my instinct to hang onto the reins, but I have
found that (for some unexplained reason) that when the sutuation warrants it,
I manage to let go.  I pray that is always the case.
