Would anyone care to comment on coming back after a bad accident?
I was badly hurt on a fairly new horse. A beautiful Russian Arab.
A flock of grouse flew into her face and she shied badly and
bucked, I think. Anyway, My arm was completly broken at the
shoulder and I couldn't get up and I was in the middle of a dirt
road , alone! Anyway , to make a long story short I went back to
riding ASAP on my old faithful mare as I felt I was loosing my
nerve to compete and ride. This mare is a lot more of a challenge
to ride and I find that I really don't enjoy riding her anymore
even though I know it wasn't her fault. I am very nervous all the
time I'm riding her. Of course she knows I'm nervous which doesn't
help either. I am kind of stuck, as I paid big bucks for her and
my old faithful mare is in foal for this spring, so I don't have
anything else to ride. I'd really appreciate feedback on this
issue. I can be reached privately at ginny@ydo.srs.state.vt.us
