I took Mystery out of his nice green pasture the other day to give
him some alfalfa and oat hay, clean him up, and remind him I existed!
He put up his nose and didn't want any of it (except the head rub, of
course!).
Is the pasture grass at this point more nutricious? We are in
No.Cal. and the grass is approx 6 inches high, 40 acres, 9 horses.
I intend to work him a bit this weekend (if the rain holds off) and
next weekend but I don't want to give him any LMF as he hasn't gotten
any for 3 weeks or so. Should I worry about giving him anything extra
for his work?
He is not fat, nor skinny, and still well muscled from conditioning
thru the fall.
