Entroliths

Hi All!

I was wondering if anyone in the group has had experience with entroliths?
I remember a thread on it a while back but couldn't find any archive info on
it. My neighbor's horse has been colicing off and on for 2 weeks now. The
vet came out and diagnosed sand colic, which we took to be the case since we
live in the desert, but every couple days she has a big episode of colic
again. She is being treated for sand with psyllium and I would think that
she would start to show improvement by now, maybe smaller colic episodes
instead of worse. With as much dirt and sand and this mare eats, she eats
EVERY DROP of hay that hits the ground, I was wondering if she may have an
entrolith? I can hear the sand with a stethoscope, and the colics are not
fermentation related, no loud booming noises, plus the vet concurred. But
maybe she has an entrolith, picked up a stone while eating off the ground?
What do you all think?

Sorry bout the no endurance related post, so please keep posts private so we
don't clutter up the board. Unless anyone is game for a SUBJECT CHANGE!!!
Then post to the list:}!!!
