OK, I am sorry I ever posted my original. I give up, wave the white flag,
etc. I NEVER said that a 100 was an easier distance. I guess I can't put
into writing what I feel, either that or people just don't take the time
to read the whole post and then they get mad. I apologise if I stepped on
any toes. I agree with you all. a 100 miler is the hardest ride you will
ever do. If you cannot do a 100, then you don't need to be competing.
Just stay at home or only go to help and see how you should be doing it.

I begged my husband to shoot me so that I wouldn't have to go back out and
finish my first 100. I have never done that on any little weenie 25 that
I have ever ridden. Of course after my first 25, I was so sore that I
could not move or turn my neck for 2 weeks. After my first 100, I managed
to sprint for the bathroom 100 yds away--motion sickness still plaguing
me!:-) I was not sore at all the next day, tired, but not sore. I have
come a long way.

Again, I appologise for my post. It was thoughtless and discouraging to
those who work hard to ride the absolute hardest distance in the
competition world. Now, can we please drop the Ld thing? I should have
kept my fingers still on the whole thing, but could not resist the chance
to speak up for a group that get very little voice. My bad.

samm--leaving with tail tucked now. You win
