is **pick BC in LD from the whole pack**, give recognition to those riders
who come in with a horse that is in exceptional condition ( "fit to
continue" and looking really good -- i.e. have had good conditioning before
coming and were well taken care of on the trail and presented looking
decent.) For most riders, LD is a learning experience and they should be
encouraged to learn how to take care of their horses.
