I am a bit disturbed when I see persons commenting on how the AERC is
running LD rides and how AERC should have rules for them and how AERC should
do this and the.
PLEASE BE AWARE that all you people looking for someone else to do things
for you are in for a big surprise!!! Be aware that for the positions on the
Board of Directors this past year, there were no contests for the positions
of Director at Large!!!
If you people who want the rules changed for LD or rules against money
awards, or racing in short rides do not participate inn the organization
then you have no right to bitch.
The AERC is you and you and especially YOU.
I put in two years as a director and my wife put in considerable more
including being VP and secretary. Where were the rest of you.
I am aware of the excuses that it takes time, you are busy etc. But if you
want to bitch then get in there and HELP not hinder. If you are not helping
solve the problem then you are a big part of the problem. How many of you
have written, called or spoken with your regional directors to help them. I
don't mean a letter full of complaints that you don't want this or you are
unhappy with that, but I do mean with something helpful, suggestions as to
what might be done to solve the problems.
While "To finish is to win" the other slogan to remember is"The AERC is me".
